Summerville Orchestra meshes with Folk Music to bring you “Orchestra Meets Folk,” featuring Dan Riley, Emily Curtis and Katie Lyon! This unique performance blends orchestral elegance with local singer-songwriters, creating unique musical colors and textures that span generations.

“In Black & White and Undercurrent”
Join us at the final Art Stroll of the Season! Stroll the Public Works Art Center and take in the beauty of Marge Moody’s black & white abstract painting alongside Phil Moody’s black & white photography.
In the main gallery, stroll through the photography of Joshua Parks.
Enjoy musical selections by our string quartet, such as the music from Twin Peaks, Haydn’s “Sunrise Quartet” and more!
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music begins at 7 p.m.

Youth Philharmonic Spring Concert

Rock out with our youth orchestras at their spring showcase and experience music through the ages. The Junior Philharmonic will perform Edward McDowell’s “Alla Tarantella,” Tim McCarrick’s arrangement of two Irish reels in “Donegal Fiddles” and the swing tune, “Alley Cat Struttin’.” The Youth Philharmonic will take you back to childhood with its presentation of the Toy Symphony, attributed to Haydn. From there, lean into the lilting Latin melody, “Baile de la Noche” (Dance of the Night), which will be followed by selections from the hugely popular Broadway musical, Hamilton!

Friday: Subscription Series #5- A Cinematic Finish

The Summerville Orchestra completes it’s 21st season by focusing on the power of music through cinematic history. This concert will likely sell out, so get tickets now!
Works to be performed include Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Pines of Rome, and Korngold’s Violin Concerto in D Major performed by nationally recognized Benjamin Baker.
This concert is sponsored by Nancy and Lee Zimmerman and is part of the Subscription Series which is sponsored by Edgeworth Capital Group.
In person shows are available for Friday Night and Saturday Matinee, and a livestream is available for Saturday Matinee as well.
