Principal Oboist of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra to Perform with the Summerville Orchestra

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – Cassie Pilgrim, the principal oboist of The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, will join the Summerville Orchestra (S.O.) on Feb. 10 and 11, playing Oboe Concerto in E-flat Major by 19th-century composer Vincenzo Bellini.

Pilgrim, an established oboist, who played with The Philadelphia Orchestra and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra before joining The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, is a highlight of the S.O.’s subscription series concert Buona Sera!

“I am so excited to have such a proficient oboist join us for this concert,” said S.O. Music Director Wojciech Milewski. “The oboe is one of the pillars for a great orchestra. Cassie’s extraordinary artistry will introduce our audience to the marvels of the oboe”

Sponsored by The Anthony and Janice Oglietti Charitable Fund, this third concert of the 2022-23 season also features another classic associated with Italians – “The Godfather” Orchestral Suite. The program also includes the dynamic and dramatic Symphony No.3 in D Major, D. 200 by 19th-century Austrian composer Franz Schubert, who wrote the symphony shortly before his 18th birthday.

Tickets are $22 for adults and $2 for those under 18. Livestream access tickets are $20. To purchase tickets please visit, SummervilleOrchestra.ludus.com
