Step into a world of fairy tales, romance and imagination through music inspired by beloved stories and enchanting dances. The program features the graceful “Sleeping Beauty Waltz” by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the colorful “Dance of the Paper Umbrellas” by Elena Kats-Chernin and music from Beauty and the Beast by Alan Menken. The concert will also showcase the winner of the S.O. Concerto Competition before concluding with the lush and expressive La Nuit et l’Amour by Augusta Holmès and the magical Hansel and Gretel Suite by Engelbert Humperdinck.
