We know it’s Valentine’s Day, so we are pulling out all the romantic stops and invite you and your loved ones out to “The Poet and the Muse.”
Listen to your Summerville Orchestra as they perform the music of Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet Fantasy, a medley from James Bond: Casino Royale, and featuring the winner of our 2024-2025 S.O. Concerto Competition!

Art Stroll #2 of the season – Feb. 27, 2025
“Clay & Chords: A Pottery Stroll with Dvořák & Stolls”
Join the Summerville Orchestra’s string quartet at the Public Works Art Center as we explore the intricate world of pottery! The art exhibit features Seagrove Potters from the community of 50 pottery studios in Seagrove, NC. The music that you will enjoy at this event includes David Stolls Quartet No. 4, Kenji Kondo’a Zelda, as well as pieces from Dvořák, Schubert and Hisaishi. Do not miss this unique opportunity to enjoy multiple art mediums as you stroll through the art center.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music begins at 7 p.m.

Get ready for this monster of a performance as the Summerville Orchestra presents “Shostakovich No. 5.”
We explore the true power of music through Bernstein’s Overture to “On the Town,” Margaret Bond’s Selections from Montgomery Variations, and Michael Torke’s “Bright Blue Music.” We end with the concert title work of Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony.
